1940s - Verdugo Avenue Flood Damage
From notes on photo: “Flood damage – Verdugo Ave” and [typed on index card”: “Please return to Engineering Dept.” and Verdugo nr. Columbia Ranch (approx.. 1947)”. Construction workers use jackhammer to remove damaged concrete slabs. A line of telephone poles and power lines run parallel along each side of the path of concrete slabs. Rocks and flood debris are to the right.
