1910s - Pioneer Bakery and Lunch Room

1940s - Roberts Bros. Drive-In
Roberts Drive-In Restaurant was at the corner of Olive Avenue and Victory Boulevard. "William N. Roberts built the drive-in in 1940. In 1968 he sold the restaurant to Van de Kamp and it was renamed Van de Kamp's Windmill Restaurant. The property was sold again in 1979 to Biff Naylor, who renamed the restaurant the Gristmill." 1950s - Bob's Big Boy Restaurant and Staff
Bob's Big Boy is a restaurant chain founded by Bob Wian (far right) in Southern California in 1936 it was famous for its hamburger. This particular restaurant in the photo was located on San Fernando and the building has since been demolished. The image shows Bob's Big Boy Restaurant staff posing outside the restaurant. Arnold Peterson is on their left, the waitresses are unidentified.
1950s - McKeon Canning Products
The McKeon Canning Company was established in May of 1922. The company operated a wholesale packing business in fruits and vegetables, which were processed under a variety of different labels. In 1956 the McKeon Canning Company became the Burbank Canning Company. This image shows various foods that were canned in Burbank.
