1986
Photo of sign on undeveloped lot, reading "Future Home of Burbank Towncenter." The Burbank Towncenter was a proposed mall to be built at the site that would later be home to the Burbank Media City Center in 1991. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Towncenter proposal "collapsed in 1987 after 10 years of planning when anchor store Robinson's pulled out" and organizers were unable to find a replacement. The Burbank Media City Center changed its name to Burbank Town Center in 2005. From notes on photo: “Town Center ‘86.”
