Burbank Mayor (1960-1961) Newell Cooper
Newell Cooper served as Mayor from 1960-1961. From notes on photo: “Newell Cooper 1957-1963.” Newell Johnson Cooper was born May 7, 1920 in Utah and died May 22, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Burbank Mayor (1963-1964, 1968-1969) John Whitney
Between 1961 to 1969, John Boyce Whitney served two terms as a Burbank city council member, and two terms as Mayor (1963-1964 and 1968-1969). From notes on photo: “John Whitney 1961-1969.” John 'Jack' Whitney was born May 30, 1909, in Fargo, North Dakota, and died August 20, 1997, in Los Angeles, California.
Burbank Mayor (1964-1965) Dallas Williams
Dallas Williams served as Mayor from 1958-1959 and 1964-1965. He was born on May 13, 1919 in Tacoma, Washington and died on June 4, 1991 in Los Angeles, California. His Burbank Leader obituary read, "Dallas Mason Williams, two-time Burbank mayor and one of Southern California radio's earliest independent commercial producers, died Tuesday after a long bout with cancer. He was 72. According to his wife, Gayle Scott Williams, her husband was 'the only liberal' on a conservative council. Williams had a hand in several city street improvements, including several of Burbank's many overpasses. As a pioneer in off-beat commercials, a more contemporary generation of listeners may remember Williams best for the 'Hey, Culligan Man!' commericals. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the coveted 'Clio.' In 1988 Williams received the Southern California Broadcasters Association Career Achievement Award. The Hollywood Advertising Club presented William with its International Broadcasting Award over a period spanning 15 years, from 1961-1976. A native of Tacoma, Washington, Williams attended the University of Washington and received a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. He was an active member of ASCAP, SAG, AFTRA, AARP, and the Procrastinators' Club of America. Williams is survived by his wife, Gayle; sons Dallas Williams Jr, of Arcata, California and Bayard Hugh Williams of Cauycos, California." June 5, 1991.
Burbank Mayor (1965-1966, 1969-1970) George W. Haven
Between 1963 and 1973, George W. Haven served as Mayor (1965-1966 and 1969-1970) and as a member of Burbank City Council. He was born on June 1, 1912 in Michigan and died on February 12, 2003 in Quartz Hill, California. From the February 15-16, 2003 Burbank Leader, "William Haven, the two-time mayor of Burbank who was heavily involved in various local organizations, died after a short illness Wednesday in Quartz Hill. Born June 1, 1912, in Michigan, Mr. Haven was a Burbank resident for 34 years who moved to Antelope Valley upon retirement. He first relocated with his wife, infant son, and father to Toluca Lake in 1941, taking a job in Lockheed Corp's aircraft factory. In 1952, he lived on Kenneth Road and founded his business, Electric Maintenance Company. Haven served on the Burbank City Council from 1963-1973, including two terms as mayor. Haven was a member of the Elks Club and served as a past exalted ruler. He was also a Shriner and a Moose. In addition, he served as president of the California League of Cities as well as in several other organizations. He served in the U.S. Navy before World War II. Haven is survived by his wife, Frances; his son, George William, Jr.; his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Howard Sheldon; and two grandchildren."
