1970s - Library Staff: Mary Ann Grasso, Nancy Meddings, and Joyce Kneisel
Three library employees in the Warner Research Collection area of the Burbank Public Library. Left to right: Department supervisor Mary Ann Grasso, Nancy Meddings (nee Burns-McConnohie), and Joyce Kneisel. The Warner Research Collection, used primarily by people working in movies and television, had formerly been the art department research library of Warner Bros. Studios and had been donated to the city in 1975. According to a 1989 Los Angeles Times article, the collection contained more than 38,000 books, magazines and newspapers, and clip files of more than 2 million items. At that time, research was done for a fee of $50 an hour. The collection closed in 1999. From notes on photo: "Central Library"
