<dc:description>The front entrance of Adult Education Center/Burbank Evening School in the building that was formerly John Muir Middle School. It was moved there in 1952 and operated as such until 1969 when it was moved into temporary portable buildings on San Fernando Road and Cypress Avenue. The old Muir building was declared unsafe and torn down after the earthquake in 1971. Image was taken in the 1950s. This image came from a collection of images donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."</dc:description>
