This image is of students and teachers standing on the steps of Bret Harte Elementary holding a "Schools at War" banner. This effort took place between 1942-1945. This image came from a collection of images donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."
