Library employee Tina Gunn tutors a literacy student. In 1992, the library received a grant to establish an adult literacy program. At present, the adult literacy department provides free one-on-one tutoring to adults, 18 or older, who speak and understand English, but read and write below an 8th grade level. Tutoring is currently provided by volunteers.
