1910s - Burbank State Bank
The Burbank State Bank, first bank in the area, was opened in 1908. It was near the corner of Olive Avenue and San Fernando Road. This image was taken early 1910s. Back of photo is stamped "This photograph is furnished on condition that whenever it is used credit will be given to Historical Collections: Security First National Bank." This image came from a collection of images donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."
1967 - Pitney-Bowes Building

1973 - Bank of America
Customers line up outside the teller window at the Bank of America at Magnolia and San Fernando. The bank stood near to what became the main entrance to the Burbank Town Center Mall.

1976 - Aerial View of Olive Avenue looking North
Sign on top of the Valley National Bank building at the Corner of Olive Avenue and Third Street. Founded in neighboring Glendale in 1957, Valley National Bank was acquired by and merged with Wells Fargo in 1990. The building is currently used as the city’s Administrative Services Building.
1978 - California Federal Bank Building
Photo of the California Federal Building on the corner of Glenoaks Blvd. and Magnolia Blvd. likely taken around its opening in August 1978. According to the Los Angeles Times, the six-story, 4,000-sq.ft. space was designed by Marion J. Varner & Associates of Pasadena at a cost of $145,000, with Alfred C. Prescott of Burbank as the affiliate contractor. Mads P. Teigland of Burbank was the general contractor. The building featured an outside walk-up teller window. This image is part of the same set as the building's ribbon-cutting photo (cco01344).
1978 - California Federal Bank Office Building Opening
Burbank mayor Byron Cook prepares to cut the ribbon at the opening of a new 6-story office building on the corner of Glenoaks Blvd. and Magnolia St. in August 1978. Along with a number of unidentified men, members of City Council are in attendance: Leland Ayers (immediately to the right of the center column), Jim Richman (immediately to the right of Ayers), and Vice Mayor E. Daniel Remy (in the light suit, second from the far right).
1980s - Bank of America and Gibraltar Savings in the Golden Mall
