1880s - Rancho San Rafael

This image reads "Rancho San Rafael extended east as far as Highland and Garvanza. Here is that neighborhood as it appeared when Burbank was founded." This image came from a collection of negatives donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."
