1940s - Aerial View of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School

An aerial view of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School and surrounding blocks. In later years this building was used for adult education and then as the Burbank Unified School District's administrative offices. It was torn down in the 1980s and is not the site of the new Buena Vista Branch Library and Abraham Lincoln Park near the corner of Buena Vista and Verdugo. This image came from a collection of images donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."
