2019 - Burbank Empire Center
2019
A thoroughfare at the Burbank Empire Center. The 103-acre site, located on Empire Avenue and Victory Place west of the Golden State Freeway and near the airport, was previously the location of Lockheed and where the company manufactured airplanes from 1921 to 1991. Los Angeles-based Zelman Development Co. purchased the site in 2000 for around $70 million and as part of the agreement Lockheed carried out extensive soil vapor removal on the site. This photo was taken at night. Hometown Buffet Restaurant can be seen on the left.
