Under the Sister City program, a group of Burbankers went to Ota, Japan to experience the culture and strengthen bonds with Burbank's Sister City. Identified people are: (top row from left to right: Dianne and Bob Bowne, Bob Heins, Gary Petterson, and Sydney Heins; (middle row, third from left) Mary Lou Howard; (bottom row from left to right) Alma Olney, Louise Penn, Curt and Shirley Reynolds, Joyce Petterson, Sue and Larry Stamper. All of the other people are unidentified. The images were taken in October 1984. This image came from a collection of images donated by Shirley Reynolds. She was on the board of the Sister Cities program for many years.
