Burbank Mayor (1973-1974) Byron Cook
Between 1971 and 1979, Byron E. Cook served as Mayor (1973 to 1974 and 1978 to 1979) and as a member of City Council. From notes on photo: “Byron Cook 1971-1979." He was born September 28, 1922, in Georgia and died May 24, 1983, in Burbank, California.
Burbank Mayor (1974-1975) Vincent Stefano, Jr.
Between 1973 and 1977, Vincent Stefano served as Mayor (from 1974 to 1975) and as a member of City Council. Vincent Stefano, Jr. was born December 21, 1938 in Burbank and died on August 24, 2020. From the August 29, 2020 Burbank Leader, "Vincent 'Vince' Stefano Jr., a former Burbank city councilman and former mayor, died Monday, with those who knew him remembering him as a 'bigger-than-life guy.' Stefano served on the City Council from 1973-77, holding the office of mayor from 1974-75. During the mid-'70s, he and the rest of the council worked to transfer control of what is now the Hollywood Burbank Airport from Lockheed Corp. to the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority. Stefano [made] decisions based on what he believed would benefit the overall community. Besides his work with the aiport and as an attorney, Stefano also signed the agreement establishing a sister-city relationship with Gaborone, Botswana, when he was mayor in 1975. Stefano, who attended Loyola Law School, wasn't shy about expressing his opinions and brought his experience working in the city attorney's office to the Burbank council."
Burbank Mayor (1975-1976) William B. Rudell
Between 1973 and 1977, William B. Rudell served as Mayor (from 1975 to 1976) and as a member of City Council. From notes on photo: “William B. Rudell 1973-1977." William Barnum Rudell was born on November 10, 1939 in Los Angeles, California and died on November 20, 2008.
Burbank Mayor (1976-1977) Leland C. Ayers
Between 1973 and 1985, Leland C. Ayers served as Mayor (from 1976 to 1977, and from 1980 to 1981) and as a member of City Council. From notes on photo: “Leland C. Ayers 1973-1985” Leland Clayton Ayers was born December 8, 1932 in Reseda, California and died September 2, 2013 in San Marcos, California.

Burbank Mayor (1979-1980) E. Daniel Remy
Between 1977 and 1985, Dan Remy was a member of City Council, and also served two terms as Mayor (1979 to 1980, and 1984 to 1985). Edward Daniel Remy was born July 15, 1934 and died on April 26, 2021. From the May 1, 2021 Burbank Leader, "Daniel Remy, who twice led the city of Burbank as its mayor and helped launch an annual fundraising golf event, died this week, according to his son. Remy was a Burbank City Council member from 1977 to 1985. He was a strong advocate of local development and, according to his friends, was an avid golfer, running tournaments for the local Kiwanis Club, for which he was a past president. A Lockheed Corp. executive, Remy was a strong advocate for the Hollywood Burbank Airport. He convinced his company to donate a F-104 Starfighter to the city. The plane remains located at George Izay Park. After decades of working closely with the Burbank community, he moved to Arizona in the mid-2000s."

Between 1979 and 1991, Mary Lou Howard was a City Council member, and also served two terms as Mayor (1982 to 1983, and 1985 to 1986). From notes on photo: “Mary Lou Howard 1979-1991”
Burbank Mayor (1983-1984) Larry L. Stamper
Between 1981 and 1985, Larry Stamper was a member of City Council, and also served as Mayor (1983 to 1984). From October 9, 2021 Burbank Leader, "The Rev. Larry Stamper, who served as Burbank's mayor in the '80s and was a longtime pastor of a local church, died this week at the age of 86. Stamper was on the City Council between 1981 and 1985, holding the seat of mayor from 1983 to 1984. He was the pastor of Burbank First United Methodist Church for more than 30 years, retiring in 2004. Stamper was also regularly involved in various local charitable events, such as collecting donations for the Burbank Temporary Aid Center." Lawrence L. Stamper was born on May 23, 1935. He died on a plane enroute to Spain on October 5, 2021.
