Description

Library board members and Burbank city officials inspect the progress of the new Buena Vista Library. The women: from left to right: Bertha Clark, Virginia Cole Pritchard, Elta Pfister, library board members, and Elizabeth Ripley, city librarian. The men from left to right: Harry W. White, library board president; Edgar Friedrich, assistant city manager; Floyd Jolly, city councilman; Elwood P. Eiden, architect; and Mayor Paul L. Brown. The Buena Vista library opened in July 1948 and served the community for over 50 years. A new Buena Vista library opened across the street at 300 N. Buena Vista St. in 2002.
