Description

The Buena Vista library opened in July 1948 and served the community for over 50 years. A new Buena Vista library opened across the street at 300 N. Buena Vista St. in 2002. In this photo, likely from the late 1940s, a sign on the library’s front lawn reads: “Burbank Public Library, Hours 10:00 A.M. TO 9:00 P.M., 10:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. SAT., Excepting Sundays and Holidays”. From notes on photo: “Buena Vista Library”.
