2015 - Incheon, South Korea Delegates Visit Burbank
2015
Burbank Mayor Bob Frutos poses with the Incheon Mayor in front of the Sister City sign outside of City Hall. "The mayor of Incheon, South Korea visited Burbank Friday and donated dozens of Korean-language books to the city’s library. The gift from Yoo Jeong-bok, the mayor of one of Burbank’s oldest sister cities, was symbolic of the origins of that relationship, when a student from Incheon sent a letter to Burbank seeking English-language books so residents of that country could learn American language and culture. But it also signifies Incheon’s selection as World Book Capital for 2015. The visit is the first time a sitting mayor of Incheon has visited Burbank in 30 years."
