From City Council Meeting Minutes: Mayor Marsha Ramos presented a Mayor's Commendation to Officer Gregory Campbell on behalf of the City Council and congratulated him for his service. On November 15, 2003 during which Officer Campbell was shot and critically injured, but from which he courageously fought back and returned to work in August 2004. Chief Tim Stehr presented Officer Campbell with the Police Star for his courage, commitment, and tenacity in overcoming such tremendous odds and serving as an inspiration to his colleagues.
