1988
Under the Sister City program, a group of Burbankers went to Ota, Japan to experience the culture and strengthen bonds with Burbank's Sister City. Shirely Reynolds and Merle Woodburn pose with two unidentified men. One of the men is on horseback and he is wearing traditional Japanese clothing as well as the chonmage hairstyle of the samurai. The images were taken in May 1988. This image came from a collection of images donated by Shirley Reynolds. She was on the board of the Sister Cities program for many years.
