Under the Sister City program, a group of Burbankers went to Ota, Japan to experience the culture and strengthen bonds with Burbank's Sister City. Delegates pose under a street sign of a road named after the city of Burbank. From left to right: Jim and Merle Woodburn, Shirley and Curt Reynolds, Dick Messer and his daughter (name unknown). The images were taken in May 1988. This image came from a collection of images donated by Shirley Reynolds. She was on the board of the Sister Cities program for many years.
