Under the Sister City program, a group of Burbankers visited Ota, Japan to experience the culture and strengthen bonds with Burbank's Sister City. Delegates Curt and Shirley Reynolds, Dick Messer and his daughter (name unknown), and Jim and Merle Woodburn pose with two unidentified Japanese women dressed in traditional kimonos. The images were taken in May 1988. This image came from a collection of images donated by Shirley Reynolds. She was on the board of the Sister Cities program for many years.
