Waste and Recycling Management

In the mid-twentieth century, three-man crews collected trash and garbage from Burbank curbs. Today one-man Public Works trucks use automated arms to empty the separate curb-side bins for refuse, green waste, and recyclables. The Burbank Recycle Center is an award-winning, state-of-the-art recycling facility.
